About the Event

Dr. Tara Kimbason, Neurologist / Movement Specialist with Tallahassee Memorial Hospital will talk with us about Apokyn

“A non-ergoline dopamine agonist indicated for the acute, intermittent treatment of hypomobility, “off” episodes associated with advanced Parkinson’s disease.”

Our Parkinson’s Support Group is free, open to the public, and refreshments are provided by The Blake at Panama City Beach. Our PD support group meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month and we have a guest speaker who provides information about resources, research, exercise programs, medications, and more. In addition, we use Parkinson’s Care Program techniques that were created by Senior Helpers which offer strategies for motor and non-motor symptoms.

Our PD Support Group has been meeting once a month since April 2017 - except the day hurricane Michael hit Panama City 10/10/19.   At first we met at Healthsouth but soon moved our location to Brookdale Assisted Living on Harrison.  After hurrican Michael we moved to our present location at the Beach Chamber, 309 R. Jackson Blvd., Panama City Beach, FL.

Come join us this month.  We would love to meet you!
