About the Event

When you Register, you will automatically receive a Zoom invitation for our 12/8/20 meeting.  We have limited capacity for in-person attendance with social distancing.  If you want to attend in-person, please send Karen a "Chat" message when you Register telling her that you want to attend in-person.  She will let you know if space is still available.

This month, we will be joined by Dr. Tara Kimbason, MD Neurologist / Movement Specialist with TMH and Alaine Keebaugh PhD from Boston Scientific who will be talking about our upcoming 2nd annual Parkinson's Wellness Expo 1/21/21 "Stronger Together."  Registration required: https://www.dementiafamilypathways.com/blank-page-3

Then Bethany Campbell, Cannabus Nurse with Kaya Life, will be talking about "Treatment Options for PD."

Before the guest speakers begins, we have a "meet and greet" getting to know our attendendees and have an opportunity to discuss life experiences with PD or concerns about living with Parkinson's disease. There is plenty of time after the presentation to ask questions, talk about common interests, concerns, and challenges.  Throughout the meeting we socialize, share ideas, help each other solve problems, and show support for each other in the process.

Our meetings are free, open to the public.  When in-person, refreshments are provided.  Every month we have a guest speaker who provides Parkinson's-specific information about resources, research, strategies, techniques, activities, medications, and more.  We use the Senior Helpers Parkinson's Care Program to offer strategies for motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease and resosurces for improved function.

Call Senior Helpers: 850.215.1793 for free Parkinson's Care Program DVD and handout with strategies listed.

Join us in December to see what a difference a support group can make in your life!!  We look forward to seeing you on 12/8/20!!
